Weight Loss Wednesday

It's our third Weight Loss Wednesday...time is just flying isn't it? I am disappointed..the scale has not budged this week (I guess I should be happy it didn't go up). I upped my Omega-3's, I pumped up my water intake, cut out sodas and made a feeble attempt at exercising. Why does it seem like fitting in exercise is the hardest thing in the world to do?...I have time to post here....I have time to do other things, but exercising just seems to elude me.

I'm going to work extra hard on the exercise thing this week. As for a new habit for the week, I got an email the other day about trying a new fruit or veggie each week that you haven't tried before. I thought this was a great idea (mainly, because I'm not the worlds biggest veggie lover - fruits are great - but most veggies I can take'em or leave'em (but I'd usually prefer to leave most of them). Why don't we go alphabetically? Here are a few from the "A" list to try out:

Artichokes, Asian Pear, Asparagus, Avocado, Atemoya (hybrid of a cherimoya and sugar apple - sounds interesting), Aubergine (also known as an eggplant).

Let's try one of these this week!

Pink Lemonade's Weight Loss Friendly Food of the week:

Fiber One Chewy Bars, Oats & Caramel

PER SERVING (1 bar): 140 calories, 3.5g fat, 105mg sodium, 30g carbs, 9g fiber, 9g sugars, 2g protein -- POINTS® value 2

"It's HEEE-EERE!!! The latest (and some say greatest!) flavor of those fantastically chewy bars from Fiber One has finally arrived. F1's bars are hands down the best in the biz, and we're welcoming this new flavor with open arms (and mouths!). They call it Oats & Caramel, but it actually tastes more like butterscotch than caramel. We don't care what its official title is (no offense) -- all we know is it absolutely ROCKS! Just like the other flavors, it's VERY decadent (like a soft, sweet candy bar!), low in the fat and calorie departments, and (no surprise) loaded with fiber! Start scouring supermarkets, 'cuz thes e things are rolling out as we speak, and we KNOW they'll go fast (so stock up now!)". courtesy of Hungry Girl.com

Here is today's motivational moment:

"If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down."

Have a great week and remember: Omega-3's, Water, Skip the High-Fructose Drinks, Exercise and try a new food from the "A" list!! YOU CAN DO IT!!

SO true, even when I have a whole day to myself I still sometimes feel like I can't fit exercise in!

Fitting in exercise is hard for me to. What with the youngest of four under my foot all the time it seems impossible.

Good luck with fitting in the exercising and with the weight loss. I've lost 10 pounds since I've gotten started with cutting calories, but I hope I don't hit a plateau so soon.
