Look, Ma... There's an alien crashing into our car!

Stumble Upon Toolbar

Okay everyone, I was listening to my favorite morning radio hosts Armstrong & Getty this morning, and when I heard about this little news ditty, I absolutely HAD to post about it... file it in the "So ridiculous, I can't believe he's serious" file....

Apparently, Jeff Peckman, 54 (who, by the way, ladies is single and lives with his parents) of Denver CO., feels it's important for us to know about aliens... no, not illegal aliens - he's talking SPACE aliens!! He feels so strongly about it, that he's sponsoring a ballot initiative that would ask voters to create a commission dealing with space aliens.

"It is important because if you're driving down the highway and you saw a crash of a small spaceship and a car or a bus full of kids, you really wouldn't know what to do," Peckman said Thursday. "Do you wait for the hazardous materials experts to show up because of potential contaminants from another solar system? What do you do? People really don't know.", says Peckman.

He has submitted a draft to the city of the proposed ordinance, which would require the creation of an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission. Peckman said that the proposed initiative is "a shortcut to disclosure of the knowledge of extraterrestrial beings on Earth and interacting with people on Earth." He said that he has never actually seen an space alien, but that he has seen evidence proving that they exist

So, whaddya think everyone - are you really all that concerned that someday you may be driving down the road and have a flying saucer crash into your car... What should you do?... Call Hazmat?.... Call the National Gard?.... Maybe we should call Jeff Peckman - he'd know what to do!!! Too Funny!!!

Please Visit The Rocky Mountain News, for the complete story (and I'm sure they'll post a follow-up on how the initiative fares!).

I don't see where to comment under any posts besides the prize ones, so I hope I'm entering correctly.

I like the story about the politician worried about aliens - what interesting questions he has. "Do you stop or do you keep going when you see a saucer crash?" lol

I also like the idea of a breakfast picnic in your "Things to Do" list. Wonderful for hot buggy summers.

Thanks!
