Tasty Tuesday - Super Easy Chocolate Cake in a Mug

This has got to be one of the cutest dessert ideas I've come across. Cake in a mug - who'da thought? Wouldn't this be a great family dessert for Valentines Day?

Super Easy Chocolate Cake in a Mug

1 Boxed Chocolate Cake Mix (plus ingredients needed to prepare mix)
Nonstick Cooking Spray
12 Oven-Safe Mugs
Marshmallow Creme

-----------------------------------------------------------

Preheat oven and Prepare Cake Mix according to Directions.

Coat the inside of the Mugs with Nonstick Cooking Spray.

Fill Mugs halfway with prepared Cake Batter - place mugs onto a cookie sheet.

Follow baking directions on the cake mix box. Begin checking your cakes at the time allotted for cupcakes. Cakes are done when a toothpick inserted into the center of one comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.

Allow the cakes to cool for about 30 minutes.

Top with Marshmallow Creme.

Serve in cup with a spoon - yummy!

- This would be too cute decorated with red and pink sugar sprinkles, or conversation hearts... let your imagination be your guide after all, it's Valentine's Day!

Love the idea! Don't have enough glass mugs in my house. Gonna have to raid the thrift stores and find some. Until then, would ceramic coffee mugs do?

Perfect idea for a brunch get-together.

I believe ceramic mugs would work just fine - just make sure it says "oven safe" on the bottom of the mug.

Have fun!

This is great Liz. I'm not so good at baking cakes so it's perfect for me!
