DEGREE 6/D6, New Sustainable Apparel Line for Men & Women

D6 - Style for the Conscious Human Sexy Yet Sustainable Clothing Line Launched for Men & Women

Eco-friendly and sustainable clothing line D6; which stands for Degree Six, a reference to six degrees of separation -- that every human is at most six steps away from each other on Earth; announces their launch with a realistic approach to being green. Made in Los Angeles, CA the apparel line for men and women is sustainable without compromising quality nor style.

The Debut Collection consists of tees in a variety of silhouettes including V-neck, crewneck and razorback tanks as well as booty shorts, hoodies, sweats, tank bras, shirt dresses and more. Focusing on two issues they believe to be most critical, carbon emissions and water conservation, D6 doesn’t plan to save the world but they intend to try. By using specialized processes in the fabrication including fabric dyeing to the use of environmentally friendly, sustainable alternatives such as bamboo to conscious shipping methods involving recycled shipping materials and hybrid delivery vehicles, D6 will greatly reduce their carbon footprint and hopes to positively influence all those they directly, or indirectly reach.

The creative force behind D6 is designer Cassie Stevenson, a native of Portland, Oregon, who was always inspired by the natural beauty of her surroundings. After moving to California where she studied at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), Cassie noticed a large gap in the marketplace for a modern and versatile green line. Always passionate about the environment, the dynamo seized the opportunity to combine her passions to create a line of sexy, stylish and sustainable clothes.

D6 believes that fashion can co-exist peacefully with the environment, and plans to practice this belief every day. “My vision is to provide comfortable, high-quality, sexy styles that everyone feels good wearing, while promoting awareness to our environment and practicing the greenest process possible. D6 will continually strive to find more sustainable options for every aspect of our business, as well as provide the highest quality of fabrics and production.” says Stevenson. As such, simple yet impactful elements from D6’s letterhead, hangers and fabric trims to their hang-tags are not only custom designed, but more importantly, recycled. All manufacturing and production of D6 materials and garments takes place in Los Angeles.

Fabrics used by D6 are extremely exclusive and chosen not only for their green qualities, but for their versatility, softness and comfort. Their signature fabric is Bamboo Sorona, which is made from Bamboo and Sorona® which is a renewably sourced polymer made partially with agricultural feedstocks instead of petrochemicals. D6 also works with Hemp, Organic Cotton and Recycled Polyester for select styles with trims such as organic cotton drawstring and coconut buttons. D6 is available at select retailers and online at http://www.blogger.com/www.d6clothing.com.
