Chocolate Shamrock Cocoa for St. Patty's Day!!

With St. Patrick’s day next week and most beverages made for adults, I wanted to pass along a fun drink the whole family can enjoy ... provided by the eco-friendly Repurpose Insulated Cup! Repurpose is another great way to go green this St. Patty's Day!

-- I still remember when I was young, running gleefully around the house looking for the household items the "leprechaun" had turned green. From the toilet paper to cottage cheese to our milk, my mother had playfully dyed green (or purchased - TP could be hard to dye!) our household items for a fun-filled morning discovery. For this recipe, I suggest dying the whipped cream green for a fun holiday twist!

Chocolate Shamrock Cocoa (Makes 3 to 4 servings)
3 cups Horizon chocolate milk (or any chocolate milk)
3/4 cup Almond Milk
Pinch of Nutmeg
Dash of cold water
Whipped cream and shaved bittersweet chocolate for garnish.

In a large heavy saucepan, combine the Horizon chocolate milk, the Almond milk, the water, pinch of nutmeg and a pinch of salt. Heat the mixture over low heat, and continue whisking. Gradually bring to a boil, and simmer the hot chocolate, whisking, for 2 minutes. Divide the hot chocolate among mugs and top it with the whipped cream, chocolate or get creative and make a shamrock! If you're on the go and don't have a travel mug, use a Repurpose cup!
